FAQ's
How does your production service work?
After an artists enquiry, we will send over a production form outlining all the information we need - from song structure, key, tempo, lyrics, along with references and preferred instrumentation (basically as much information as possible for us to build a track). We'd would then require a demo of the song (a phone recording is fine) and preferably a guide vocal sung to a metronome (this allows us to construct a track around it). If you have any self recorded instruments you want including we'd also need the stems to these (such as piano, guitar, strings, etc.)
We're also happy to have a chat via phone or video call if you want to discuss any more details and to find out exactly how you want your song to sound.
From there, we'll begin building your track and once the basis of it is ready, we'll send back a rough mix for you to listen to and provide any feedback and amendments if needed. Once any amendments have been made we would then either require you to send over your final vocal takes and any backing vocals (these can be recorded from a home studio, or local studio and the files sent to us) or, we can organise an in-person recording session.
Once the track is finished and we have the final vocals and any extra instrumentation, we will mix the track and send this to you for approval. Any mix tweaks can then be made and once happy with the final mix, we can then either provide a mastering service to finalise the song, ready for release, or we can send the final mix back to you for you to get mastered by your mastering engineer/service of choice.
How does your mixing service work?
Mixing involves taking the individual audio stems from a recoded track and balancing elements such as volume, panning, EQ, compression and applying effects such as reverb, delay, saturation etc. It essentially makes a song sound like a finished song!
When you send your files, please provide us with as many mix notes as possible regarding mixing effects and references to songs you'd ideally like the mix to emulate. WAV or AIRFF files are required (at 44.1, 48, 88.2 or 96KHz). These should be exported from bar one and all be the same length and the same sample rate.
After the initial mix is sent back to you, we offer 2 free revisions to make any amendments and get it sounding exactly how you want. (Additional amendments are then charged at £25 per request).
How does your mastering service work?
Mastering involves taking the final stereo mix and giving it that final polish before it is released. This includes adjusting loudness, applying compression, stereo width, EQ etc. and making sure it is sounding the best it can, across all sound systems and streaming platforms.
All we require is the final stereo mix file and one alternative version (I.e an instrumental version) and we will master both using the same process.
*We don't currently offer stem mastering
What do I receive after a content creation shoot?
After a short-form content shoot, you will receive high quality, fully edited clips specifically formatted for the likes of Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts. We can add captions if you like and will aim to provide as many as possible from the footage captured on the day. This is so you have a large batch of content ready to put out for Social Media promotion.
How do the live acoustic sessions work?
We will liaise with you to find out the style of session you want to record (I.e. indoors, outdoors, extra musicians etc.) and film you performing a song of your choice live. (We offer either a 1 x song session or a full day where you can fit in as many as you like within the time!)
We will then edit the footage and the audio and send back a fully finished video for you to use as promotional material for your track.
*Any space or studio hire would need to be covered by yourself.
*We can record up to a maximum of 4 x inputs. (i.e. 1 x vocal, 2 x guitars, 1 x keyboard).

How long will it take for me to get my song produced?
There's no set timescale for song production, as every project is different and will depend on a few factors such as song complexity, current workload and artist availability if in-person recording sessions are required. However, we will always aim to get projects back to an artist in a timely fashion and keep you up to date during the process to manage expectations.
*Please make us aware before starting a project if you require it to be completed by a specific date, and we will always try to accommodate where possible.
